Ruel S. De Vera is the author and editor of nine books. He writes for the Philippine Daily Inquirer and is Associate Editor at the Sunday Inquirer Magazine. He holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the Ateneo De Manila University and teaches at the Ateneo’s Department of Communication. His writing has received the Catholic Mass Media Award, the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Award for Literature, and the Philippines Free Press Literary Award. He and his wife Joysie reside in Taguig City with a giant Shih Tzu named Mito.
